Carlos Henrique Casimiro professionally known as Casemiro is a Brazilian professional football player. He currently plays for Premier League club Manchester United and the Brazil national team. His playing position is a defensive midfielder. He is widely regarded to be one of the best defensive midfielders in world football.

Casemiro started playing football for the youth team of Sao Paulo in 2002 and began his career at the club. In late January 2013, he was loaned to Real Madrid in Spain, being assigned to the B-team in Segunda Division. Following his impressive performances, on 1 July 2013, Real Madrid permanently signed him from Sao Paulo on a four years contract for a fee of R$18.738 million. On 19 July 2014, he was loaned to FC Porto in a season-long loan where he made 41 appearances for the club, scoring 4 goals in all the competitions. On 5 June 2015, he returned to Real Madrid who activated his buyback clause, and two months later his contract was extended until 2021.
