Dan Burn Club Career

  • He started playing football for the youth team of Newcastle United where he was released by the club at age 11.
  • After being released from Newcastle United, he played youth football for local teams New Hartley, Blyth Town, and Blyth Spartans. 
  • In 2009, he then played for the youth team of Darlington and began his career at the club. Due to the club's financial problems and lack of available players, he was promoted to the first team for the first time in the 2009-10 season. He made his league debut for the club on 12 December 2009 in a 5-0 loss against Torquay United. During his 2009-10 season, he made only 4 appearances for the club in all the competitions as Darlington was relegated to the Conference.

  • On 3 July 2013, he signed a new contract with Fulham, keeping him at the club until at least 2015, while also moving on a season-long loan to Championship side Birmingham City. He made his debut for the club on 3 August 2013 in a 1-0 defeat at home to Watford and remained a regular member of the starting eleven. On 25 September 2013, he scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win against Swansea City in the third round of the League Cup. During his loan spell at Birmingham City, he made 28 appearances for the club, scoring once and providing 1 assist in all the competitions.
  • On 2 January 2014, he was recalled by Fulham. After being recalled, he made his first-team debut for Fulham on 4 January 2014 in a 1-1 draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road in the FA Cup third round.
