Dan Burn Club Career

  • He started playing football for the youth team of Newcastle United where he was released by the club at age 11.
  • After being released from Newcastle United, he played youth football for local teams New Hartley, Blyth Town, and Blyth Spartans. 
  • In 2009, he then played for the youth team of Darlington and began his career at the club. Due to the club's financial problems and lack of available players, he was promoted to the first team for the first time in the 2009-10 season. He made his debut for the club on 3 August 2013 in a 1-0 defeat at home to Watford and remained a regular member of the starting eleven. On 25 September 2013, he scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win against Swansea City in the third round of the League Cup.
