Daniel Castelo Podence is a Portuguese professional football player who plays for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers as a winger. He started playing football for the youth team of Belenenses in 2003 and played until 2005. In 2005, he joined the youth team of Sporting CP and began his career at the club. He made his senior debut for the club, appearing for the former’s reserves on 3 February 2013 in a Segunda Division. He played his first official game for the first team on 29 December 2014. On 31 August 2016, he was loaned to Moreirense F.C. until the end of the 2016-17 season where he made 18 appearances for the club, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists in all the competitions as Moreirense F.C. won the Taca da Liga that season. In July 2018, he joined Olympiacos, winning 2019-20 Super League Greece. On 30 January 2020, he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers on a four-and-a-half-year contract for a £16.9 million transfer fee. He made his debut for the club on 1 February 2020. 

On the international level, he has represented Portugal at various age levels. He has represented Portugal at U16, U18, U19, U20, U21, and the senior level.
