Emile Smith Rowe is an English professional football player who plays for Premier League club Arsenal as an attacking midfielder. He started playing football for the youth team of Arsenal in 2010 at the age of 10. He made his first appearance for the U23s in 2016-17, at the age of 16. He signed his first professional contract with the club on 31 July 2017. He made his Arsenal first-team competitive debut on 20 September 2018. On 31 January 2019, he joined RB Leipzig on loan until the end of the 2018-19 season where he has only played a total of 28 minutes in three substitute appearances due to his injury issue. On 10 January 2020, he joined EFL Championship side Huddersfield Town on loan until the end of the 2019-20 season. He made his Huddersfield Town debut on 18 January 2020. Following his return to Arsenal in 2020, he struggled with injuries before returning to fitness in the autumn. On 29 August 2020, he was named an unused substitute in the 2020 FA Community Shield. On 14 March 2021, he played in the North London Derby for the first time and delivered a Man of the Match for his performances.
