Emmanuel Eboue is an Ivorian former professional football player who plays as a right-back. He began his football career in the ASEC Mimosas youth academy in 2000. In the 2001-02 season, he was promoted to the senior team of ASEC Mimosas where he made 25 appearances for the club. In 2002, he moved to Europe to play for Belgium's Beveren and spent two seasons there. His impressive performances in Belgium caught the eye of Arsenal’s scouts. In 2004, he moved to Arsenal where he spent most of his career, from 2005 to 2011, with the club, playing 214 games, including the 2006 UEFA Champions League Final. In 2011, he moved to Galatasaray where he played regularly and won seven domestic honours with the club. On 9 March 2016, he signed a short-term contract with Sunderland. On 31 March 2016, he began serving a one-year ban from all football-related activity, for failing to pay a former agent and was released by Sunderland in April 2016, having not played for the club.
