Evan Spiegel was born on 4 June 1990. His birth name is Evan Thomas Spiegel. He was born to a father John W Spiegel, and a mother Melissa Ann Thomas. They later renamed it Snapchat. 

Their app gained popularity in a very short period of time. 

Evan left Stanford shortly before completing his degree to focus on Snapchat in 2012.

His app had reached 1 million daily active users by the end of 2012. 

He and Murphy pledged in February 2017 to donated upwards of 13,000,000 shares of Class A common stock over the next 15-20 years to art, education, and youth non-profit.

The Wall Street Journal reported in January 2017 that after the predicted March 2017 IPO for Snap Inc., Murphy and Evan would hold over "70% of the voting power" in the company, and own around 45% of the total stock.

He later revealed to NBC New's show, "Stay Tune" in July 2018 that he completed his degree requirements and graduated from Stanford in 2018.
