Longtime co-anchor of CBS This Morning, Gayle King to sign a multimillion-dollar deal to stay at CBS News
Longtime co-anchor of CBS This Morning, Gayle King is reportedly set to sign a new multimillion-dollar contract to stay at CBS News. The 64-years old has been co-anchoring the CBS This Morning since joining CBS News in November 2011. Reports also said that a number of staff moves inside the network are also kept on hold until Gayle's deal is locked first. Negotiations over her co-host Norah O'Donnell replacing Jeff Glor on CBS Evening News are also kept on hold. O' Donnell reportedly has the desire to move the news program to Washington, DC. Reports say the new deal with Gayle is a news chief's attempt to boost the show's plunging ratings. Insiders say everyone is stressed and untold about the current situation.
