Halle Bailey Cast as Princess Ariel in Disney's Live-Action: The Little Mermaid

Disney announced on Wednesday that 19-years old Halle Bailey would play Princess Ariel in their upcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. Halle Bailey also took it to social media to announce that she would play Ariel in the live-action version of Little Mermaid.

The 19-years old Grown-Ish star seemed much excited to announce the good news to her fans and followers. Zendaya was speculated to get the role. However, Halle was chosen in the end. Following the announcement, celebrities and fans have reacted to the news. Mariah Carey, Janelle Monae, Zendaya, Chrissy Teigen, Jordin Sparks, Normani, Willow Smith, Teyana Taylor, Gigi Hadid, and Logan Laurice among other popular celebrities have congratulated Halle. Some fans misunderstood that Halley Berry has got the role. Halley Berry took it to the social media to clarify that it was Halle Bailey who got the role, not her. She also congratulated Halle for landing the role.
