Hussein Ali El Shahat Ali Hassan professionally known as Hussein El Shahat is an Egyptian professional football player who plays for Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team as an Attacking midfielder. He started his professional career at Eastern Company. In 2014, he moved to the Misr Lel-Makkasa and played them until 2018. In 2018, he joined Al Ain on a loan deal and made a permanent moved to the club after his impressive performances for the team. After playing one year for Al Ain, in January 2019, he joined Al Ahly.  On 4 February 2021, he scored the winning goal for Al Ahly in a 1-0 win over Al-Duhail in the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup.

On the international level, he has represented Egypt at the senior level. He made his national team debut in 2018.
