Hwang Ui-jo is a South Korean professional football player who plays for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux and the South Korea national team as a forward. He started playing football for the youth team of Seongnam FC in 2008 and played until 2011. In 2011, he joined the youth team of Yonsei University and played until 2013. In 2013, he rejoined Seongnam FC on a free transfer and made his debut for the club on 3 March 2013. After playing four and half-season at Seongnam FC, on 1 July 2017, he signed a two-year contract with J1 League club Gamba Osaka. He made his debut for the club on 29 July 2017. On 15 July 2019, he moved to Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, signing a four-year deal worth €1.8 million per year. He made his debut for the club on 10 August 2019. 

On the international level, he has represented South Korea at various age levels. He has represented South Korea at U17, U20, U23, and the senior level.
