Ike Barinholtz is an American comedian, actor, and screenwriter. His is best recognized for his comic character in the tv series MADtv and The Mindy Project. His comic appearance is also appreciated in the films Neighbors, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Suicide Squad, and Blockers. He was the screenplay co-writer for the 2016 comedy film Central Intelligence, starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.

He was nominated for Writers Guild of America Award for The Mindy Project in 2013.

The full name of Ike Barinholtz is Isaac Barinholtz. He was born on 28 February 1977 in Rogers Park, Chicago, Illinois, United States. The name of his father is Alan Barinholtz and his mother is named Peggy Barinholtz. He has a brother named Jon Barinholtz. He belongs to the Jewish family and grew up in Lake View in Chicago. He attended Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School and The Latin School of Chicago. He attended Boston University but did not complete his university education.

Previously, Barinholtz wanted to become a politician. Later, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his career in acting. Before pursuing an acting career, he worked as a busboy at a telemarketing company. Barinholtz took comedy classes at The Second City, ImprovOlympic, and Annoyance Theatre. Barinholtz spent two years in Amsterdam with Boom Chicago.

In 2002, Barinholtz appeared in the eight seasons of MADtv. Since then, he became regular cast in the following seasons. In 2007 Barinholtz left MADtv after 12 seasons. Barinholtz appeared in 2001 film Down, 2005 film The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and 2005 film Love, Fear, and Rabbits. In 2012, Barinholtz wrote and acted on The Mindy Project. In 2012, he appeared in the third season of Eastbound & Down, third season of the HBO series. In 2012, Barinholtz and his brother Jon performed at the Chicago Improv Festival event. In 2014, Barinholtz starred in the comedy film Neighbors and its sequel, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising in 2014.

In 2016, Barinholtz appeared as a prison guard Griggs in the DC Comics film Suicide Squad. In 2016, Barinholtz co-wrote and starred in the comedy film Central Intelligence. Barinholtz has made his directorial debut in the movie The Oath. He is the writer and also one of the casts in the movie. The movie was released on 12 October 2018.
