Rich Gannon is a former football quarterback. Gannon played 18 seasons in the NFL. The New England Patriots drafted him 98th overall in the 1987 NFL Draft and was soon traded to the Minnesota Vikings where he spent six seasons. He played the 1993 season with the Washington Redskins and with the Kansas City Chiefs from 1995 to 1998. He spent the last 5 seasons of his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders where he led the Raiders to four consecutive Pro Bowls and three consecutive postseasons. He earned two First-team All-Pro selection honors and was named the 2002 NFL Most Valuable Player. Gannon led the Raiders to the Super Bowl XXXVII. He retired from football before the 2005 season.
