Juan Marcos Foyth is an Argentine professional football player who plays for La Liga club Villarreal, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and the Argentina national team as a centre-back or a right-back. He started playing football for the youth team of Estudiantes. He signed his first professional contract in January 2017, which linked him to the club until June 2019, and made his debut for the club on 19 March 2017 at the age of 19. On 30 August 2017, he joined Tottenham Hotspur for a reported £8m on a five-year contract until 2022. He made his debut for the club on 19 September 2017 in an EFL Cup tie. On 4 October 2020, he joined Spanish side Villarreal on loan for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

On the international level, he has represented Argentina at various age levels. He has represented Argentina at U20 and the senior level. He made his Argentina national team debut on 16 November 2018. He was selected for the team at the 2019 Copa America and made his first start in the competition on 23 June 2019.

  • He started playing football for the youth team of Estudiantes where he signed his first professional contract in January 2017, which linked him to the club until June 2019. He made his debut for the club on 19 March 2017 at the age of 19 in a 1-0 win against CA Patronato.  He went on to play a further 7 times in the league, with additional two appearances in the Copa Sudamericana.
