A Brazilian footballer who plays as a central defender for Italian club Inter Milan and the Brazilian national team is famed as Miranda. He began his career at Coritiba and he spent 2005-2006 season with Sochaux in France before returning to Brazil to play for Sao Paulo. He was also named in the Team of the Year four consecutive times from 2007 to 2010. He made his full international debut for Brazil in the year 2009 and was a member of the squad which won the Confederations Cup that year.
