Alejandro Dario Gomez professionally known as Papu Gomez is an Argentine professional football player who plays for Spanish club Sevilla and the Argentina national team as a forward, winger or attacking midfielder. He started playing football for the youth team of Arsenal de Sarandi in 2003 and began his career at the club. He has previously played for San Lorenzo, Catania, Metalist Kharkiv, and Atlanta. On 26 January 2021, he signed for La Liga club Sevilla on a deal running until June 2024 and made his debut for the club on 6 February 2021.

On the international level, born in Argentina, he is a dual citizen of Argentina and Italy, having gained Italian citizenship on 14 May 2016, as his wife is an Italian citizen.
