The R&B and soul singer-songwriter, Peabo Bryson is stable at the hospital after suffering a heart attack. The 68-years old singer was taken to Atlanta hospital on 29 April after he suffered a heart attack. The doctors announced that he is not in critical condition at all. The 2-times Grammy Awards winner is best known for singing soul ballads. He has many hits as a duet with other female singers.

Musical Career

He embarked his professional career at the age of 14. He was a backup for a local Greenville group, Al Freeman and the Upsetters.

He also changed his name from "Peapo" to "Peabo". 

He left his home to tour the chitlin' circuit with another local band, Moses Dillard and the Tex-Town Display. 

His first break came during a recording session at Atlanta's Bang Records. Bang's general manager, Eddie Biscoe signed a record deal with Bryson as a writer, producer, and arranger. 

He launched his own recording career with "Underground Music" on the Bang label in 1976. 

He released his first album, Peabo in 1976. 

He signed to Capitol Records in 1977. 

His greatest solo hits include "Feel the Fire", Reaching for the Sky", "I'm So Into You", "Crosswinds", "Let the Feeling Flow", "If Ever You're in My Arms Again", "Show and Tell", "Can You Stop the Rain". 

He has also recorded a successful album of romantic love duets with Roberta Flack (Born to Love).
