Renato Fabrizio Tapia Cortijo professionally known as Renato Tapia is a Peruvian professional football player who plays for La Liga club Celta Vigo and the Peru national team as a defensive midfielder. He started playing football for the youth team of Sporting Cristal in 2004 and played until 2007. In 2007, he joined the youth team of Esther Grande at twelve years old where he quickly established himself as a youth player. In the summer transfer of 2013, he moved to Europe for the first time in his career, signing a four-year contract with Eredivisie side Twente. Immediately after joining the club, he was sent to the Jong FC Twente, the club's reserves, to develop and made his debut for Jong FC Twente on 20 September 2013. After the 2013-14 season, he promoted to the main squad of Twente and made his debut for the senior team on 9 August 2014. On 27 January 2016, he joined Feyenoord for a reported transfer fee of €2.4 million on a 4.5-year contract. He made his debut for the club on 7 February 2016. During his four years spell at Feyenoord, he won one Eredivisie, two KNVB Cup, and John Cruyff Shield. On 20 July 2020, he joined La Liga side Celta de Vigo for a free transfer on a four-year contract and made his debut for the club on 12 September 2020.

On the international level, he has represented Peru at various age levels. He has represented Peru at U17, U20, and the senior level. He was selected by the Peru U17 for the South American U17 Football Championship and by the Peru U20 for the South American Youth Football Championship.
