Rodrigo Javier De Paul is an Argentine professional football player who plays for La Liga club Atletico Madrid and the Argentina national team as a midfielder. He started playing football for the youth team of Racing Club in 2002 and began his career at the club. He played his first match as a professional on 10 February 2013. On 1 July 2014, he joined Valencia CF on a five-year contract for a fee of US$6.5 million. He made his La Liga debut for the club on 23 August 2014. On 4 February 2016, he was loaned out to his former side Racing Club where he made 13 appearances for the club, scoring once and providing 1 assist in all the competitions. On 20 July 2016, he was transferred to Italian Serie A club Udinese for €10 million. He made his debut for the club on 13 August 2016 in the third round of the Italy Cup. After playing five seasons at Udinese, on 12 July 2021, he signed for Atletico Madrid on a five-year contract for a fee of €35 million.

On the international level, he has represented Argentina at the senior level. He made his international debut for Argentina on 11 October 2018. He was part of the Argentina squad that finished third in the Copa America 2019 after beating Chile by 2-1 in the third-place match.
