Sunisa Lee is an American artistic gymnast and part of the United States women's national gymnastics team who is best known for being a member of the gold-winning US team in the 2019 World Championships. She also won a silver medal on the floor exercise and a bronze on the uneven bars at the same competition.

During her debut year as a senior elite gymnast, she earned three medals at the 2019 USA Gymnastics National Championships, including a national title on the uneven bars. She made her international debut in 2017 at the Gymnix International Junior Cup, where the United States won gold in the team event and she took silver on uneven bars.

Following her second-place finish in the US Olympic Trials in St. Louis, Lee was named to the main Olympic team alongside Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, and Grace McCallum. On the 2nd day of the 2021 Olympic Trials for gymnastics, she scored a 58.166, bettering Simone Biles' 57.533, making her third gymnast to ever defeat Simone Biles in the all-around during any stage of a competition.
