Tajon Buchanan is a Canadian professional football player who plays for Belgian Pro League club Club Brugge and the Canada national team as a winger. At the age of 8, he started playing football for the youth team of Brampton Youth SC. He then played for the youth team of Mississauga Falcons with whom he won the 2014 IMG Cup. In 2015, he joined USSDA academy Real Colorado and played until 2017. He then spent two years playing college soccer at Syracuse University between 2017 and 2018, making 33 appearances, scoring 12 goals, and tallying 6 assists. In summer 2018, he played for League1 Ontario side Sigma FC, making seven appearances and scoring two goals in all the competitions. On 11 January 2019, he was selected 9th overall in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft by New England Revolution and made his professional debut on 9 March 2019. In August 2021, he signed a 3 and a half year deal with Belgian First Division A champions Club Brugge and was loaned back to New England Revolution for the remainder of the 2021 MLS season. After his return to Club Brugge from a loan, he made his debut for the club on 15 January 2022. 

On the international level, he has represented Canada at various age levels. He has represented Canada at U23 and the senior level. He made his senior international team debut for Canada on 6 June 2021. In July 2021, he was named to Canada’s final 23-man squad for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup where he played all five matches in the tournament as Canada was eliminated in the semi-finals by Mexico. Additionally, he was also named the recipient of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Best Young Player Award.
