In his first season, due to his injury, he missed most of the matches where he managed to make only 6 appearances for the club in all the competitions. 
• On 17 August 2021, he was an unused substitute where his club Bayern Munich won the DFL-Supercup final match against Borussia Dortmund by 3-1. On 25 August 2021, he played full 90 minutes in a 12-0 win against Bremer SV in the first round of DFB-Pokal.
