Who Is Seth Moulton?

Seth Moulton, US Representative for Massachusetts's 6th congressional district since 2015 and former Marine Corps Officer, announced his Democratic nomination for 2020 US presidential election. He announced his candidacy on 22 April 2019. 

Just after announcing his run for president, he appeared on ABC's Good Morning America and stated, "I'm not a socialist. I'm a Democrat. And I want to make that clear."

He has been seen as a potential candidate for the Democratic nomination in 2020 and was seen traveling in early primary states such as Iowa and New Hampshire earlier in March 2019.

The 40-years old Moulton is a former US Marine Corps officer who served four tours in Iraq. He was discharged from the Marine Corps with the rank of captain in 2008. 

After serving in the Marine Corps, he earned master’s degrees in business and public policy in 2011.

He entered the politics in 2013 announcing his candidacy for Massachusetts’s 6th congressional district. He defeated Richard Tisei in the general election for in 2014. He was uncontested in the reelection in 2016.
