Bajrang Punia is an Indian freestyle wrestler who is well recognized for winning a bronze medal by defeating Kazakhstan's Daulet Niyazbekov with a wide 8-0 margin at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Bajrang Punia opened his eyes for the very first time on 26th February 1994 in Khudan, Jhajjar, Haryana, India. He is of Indian nationality and he belongs to Asian ethnicity.   • Bajrang Punia kicks off his professional wrestling career in the 2013 Asian Wrestling Championships where he lost 3-1 to Hwang Ryong-hak of North Korea to win the bronze medal in the men's freestyle 60 kg category in the semi-final bout in New Delhi, India.
