Marco Asensio was born on 21st January 1996, in Palma, Spain with the birth name of Marco Asensio Willemsen. His nationality is Spanish and belongs to the mixed ethnic background. Asensio was born in Palma, Majorca, Balearic Islands to Maria Willemsen and Gilberto. His father was a footballer and his elder brother was also a player who played as a defender. His mother, died of cancer when he was 15.
