In 2005, khalifa's first mix tape, Prince of the City: Welcome to Pitstolvania was released. This made him paved his way for an album in 2006 named as “Show and Prove”.

In 2007, he signed to Warner Bros. His two mix tapes are released through Rostrum Records named as Grow Season on July 4, 2007 and Prince of the City 2 on November 20, 2007. "Say Yeah", this song was his debut to Warner Bros.

In July 2009, he parted with Warner Bros and he appeared with Girl Talk, Modey Lemon and many more in Pittsburgh. Then he relased his Second album named as “Deal or No Deal” in the year of 2009, 24th November.

On April 20, 2020, Khalifa released a new EP, The Saga of Wiz Khalifa. The album included collaborations with Tyga, Logic, Mustard and Ty Dolla $ign. In May 2020, Khalifa featured on a new song, Drums Drums Drums with Travis Barker. In 2021, Khalifa competed in season five of The Masked Singer as "Chameleon". He finished in third place.

In early 2011, Khalifa started dating Amber Rose who was a model. Later they got engaged in 1st March, 2012 and married on July 8th, 2013. They had a son named Sebastian. Then, On September 24, 2013, it was announced that Rose was filing for Divorce. As of 2015, they had joint custody of their son.

Then, in May 2017, Khalifa started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Rigan Machado, a 8th degree red and black belt. He began training in Los Angeles Muay Thai with former UFC bantamweight title contender Cat Zingano and at the Unbreakable Performance Center. On April 24th 2018, Thai boxing legend, Saenchai hosted a private Muay Thai seminar for Khalifa at Unbreakable.
