Carmelo Anthony began showing interest in basketball at an early age, while he was attending Towson Catholic High School. He became one of the top players in the area when he gained height of success in the summer of 1999. He was transferred to Oak Hill Academy to improve his grades. At that time, Carmelo not only upgraded his grades but his skills advanced as well. Soon, he became one of the highest ranked high school basketball player in the country. In the season of 2010-2011, it was guessed that he had requested as a trade and in seaon of 2011-2012 it brought new hopes where it was all his full season as a Knick. In 2012, he was also named for Eastern Conference Player on the date of December 3. Again, his name was came up as a starter in the 2015 NBA All Star Game on January 22, 2015. It was in his seventh consecutive start and eight. Later on January 21st, 2016, he was also voted for the 2016 NBA All Star Game. He demanded a trade after being multiple conflict on 2017 with president Phil Jackson.

Anthony was dealt in exchange for Enes Kante, Doug McDermott. It was on September 25, 2017. In Oklahoma City game against Los Angeles Clipper on January 4, 2018 Anthony made 22 points. It makes the team, New York Knick into 21st place. Again in March 6, 2018 he scored 23 points in the same game against Houston Rockets. Recently on 19th March, 2018 he made 15 scores with the winning score of 132-125 against Toronto Raptors.

On August 13, 2018, Anthony signed a one-year, $2.4 million veterans minimum contract with the Houston Rockets. He played ten games for Houston, starting twice, but he was held out of the last three for what the club called an unspecified "illness."

On November 19, 2019, Anthony was signed by the Portland Trail Blazers to a one-year, non-guaranteed deal. A couple of days later Anthony was named Western Conference Player of the Week,in the process becoming the oldest player at 35 years old to win the weekly award since Tim Duncan at 38 won it in 2014–15. On December 6, Anthony's contract became fully guaranteed.

In November 2020, Anthony re-signed with the Trail Blazers on a one-year contract. On January 1, 2021, in the first game of Portland's back-to-back game with the Golden State Warriors, Anthony scored a then season-high 18 points to move past Tim Duncan into 14th place on the NBA career scoring list. On February 2, Anthony scored 21 points in a game against the Washington Wizards and moved past Dominique Wilkins into 13th place on the NBA all-time scoring list. On February 9, Anthony scored 23 points against the Orlando Magic and moved past Oscar Robertson into 12th place on the NBA all-time career scoring list. On February 11, Anthony scored a then season-high 24 points in the 118–114 win against the Philadelphia 76ers. After the 2020–21 season, Anthony received the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award.

Los Angeles Lakers (2021–2022)

On August 6, 2021, Anthony signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.[238] On October 19, he made his Lakers debut, putting up nine points, four rebounds, and two assists in a 121–114 loss to the Golden State Warriors. 

Retirement 

On May 22, 2023, Anthony announced his retirement from the NBA.
