Colombian Reggaeton artist, J Balvin had one of his amazing nights at Billboard Latin Music Awards at Las Vegas on 25 April 2019. Spanish singer Rosalia took the stage to perform her new single "Con Altura" and she was joined by El Guincho and J Balvin. Sean Paul then joins them to perform their new single "Contra La Pared".

Where was J Balvin Born?

J Balvin was born on 7 May 1985. His birth name is Jose Alvaro Osorio Balvin. He was born to a father, Jose Alvaro Osorio Balvin, and a mother, Alba Balvin. His birth place is in Medellin, Colombia. Musical Career

He began to seriously pursue a career in music at the age of 19. He took the stage name J Balvin "El Negocio" meaning "The Business" in English. 

He met DJ and business partner David Rivera Mazo in a freestyle battle on the street in Medellin and became fast friends. The two started producing and promoting their own music. 

He signed to EM! Colombia in 2009. His single "Ella Me Cautivo" charted at number 35 on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart. 

He released his debut album, Real in 2009. His other albums are El Negocio, La Familia, Energia, and Vibras. 

His first international hit was the one-night-stand-themed "Yo Te Lo Dije", released in 2012.
