An American Imaging Scientist Katie Bouman made it possible for us to witness the first-ever images of Black Hole using the Event Horizon Telescope. Thanks to her algorithm that made possible the breakthrough picture visualization of a black hole using the Event Horizon Telescope. The first images of Black Hole were published on 10 April 2019. 

The 29-years old Bouman and her teams have been working for a long time to earn this achievement. She theorized that black holes leave a background shadow of hot gas. Her algorithm fills in gaps in data produced by telescopes from around the world. She is an MIT student who earned her doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science from there in 2017 and is an Assistant Professor at California Institute of Technology.
