Early Life of Rae Sremmurd

Being a single mother son they faced a lot of problems and lacks, then the brothers developed a special connection and started rapping together in elementary school. When they were in middle school their mother settled with new partner Floyd. The brothers felt very insecure in that environment so they turned even more to music, hoping for a better future for themselves.

Their passion for music never dropped although they were having a really rough time. They soon found recognition among fans due to their dedicated music making and became an extremely popular rapping duo in the States. For several years, they performed under the name Dem Outta St8 Boyz. This was their breakthrough name and they often joke about it today. Later the two brothers formed a hip-hop band called Rae Sremmurd. They signed a big record deal in 2013 and two years later they released their first album called SremmLife which came platinum in America.

The duo released "T'd Up" as SremmLife 3's second single on February 5, 2018, and released three singles from SR3MM on March 1, 2018 - Swae Lee's "Hurt to Look", Slim Jxmmi's "Brxnks Truck", and the duo's "Powerglide" featuring previous collaborator Juicy J. On May 4, 2018, the duo released SR3MM, a triple-disc set that included solo projects for each of the members. Overall, SR3MM received mainly positive reviews from critics.
