Taylor Swift’s Early Life

Taylor Swift was born to Scott Kingsley Swift and Andrea Gardner Swift on 13 December 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania, United States. Her father was a financial advisor and her mother was a homemaker previously worked as a mutual fund marketing executive. She has a younger brother named Austin. She was raised in Pennsylvania. Swift attended preschool and kindergarten at Alvernia Montessori school. She then transferred to The Wyndcroft School. Later, her family moved to Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where she attended Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School. 

Swift became interested in musical theater and performed in four Berks Youth Theater Academy productions at the age of nine. Swift was inspired by Shania Twain's songs and shifted her focus towards country music. A computer repairman and local musician Ronnie Cremer taught Swift to play guitar and helped with her firsts efforts as a songwriter when she was 12 years old. At the age of 14, Swift moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee to pursue her career in country music. She attended Hendersonville High School there. Because of her touring schedule, Swift accommodated homeschooling and transferred to the Aaron Academy.
