Death

Todd Tongen committed suicide in June 2019. He was 56-years old. His brother and the station he worked for confirmed his death on 5 June 2019. His wife was on vacation in Italy with their younger son. She tried to reach her husband but could not reach him. She asked one of her friends to check on Tongen. The authorities were called and they found him dead at his home. 

His brother stated that Tongen left garbled messages where he wrote he was lost and asked his family to forgive him. His brother also revealed that Tongen suffered from a fear of dying from Lewy Body Dementia (LBD). LBD took their mother's life in 2017. His doctor brother stated that the death of his brother shocked him as they were planning for trips to Las Vegas and Canada.
