• Talking about his profession, Wade began as a bare-knuckle boxer in Liverpool. He soon became a champion bare-knuckle boxer and went on to fight in various locations throughout Europe. At the request of Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, he incorporated his bare-knuckle career into WWE.
• He entered the world of professional wrestling at the age of 21 and was trained by Jon Ritchie and AI Snow. After successful projects like Ohio Valley Wrestling (2008-2010), The Nexus (2010-2011), The Corre, The Barrett Barrage, Bad News Barrett (2013-2015), he soon became one of the most successful wrestlers of his generation.
• It was announced on 06th May that he had been released by WWE. Although the exact date of his possible return to WWE is nit confirm he said that he would be "back in the ring when the time is right." He had a small role in the 2013 crime-thriller film Dead Man Down. 
• It was announced in April 2015 that he would star as "Europe's most dangerous assassin" in a WWE Studios-Richwater Films action-thriller film titled Eliminators.
• On 6th May, WWE announced that Bennett had been released. Following his release, He stated that he chose not to sign a new contract with WWE in August 2015, his contract was scheduled to end in June 2016, but WWE had agreed to an early release from his contract. He then took a hiatus from wrestling altogether to focus on his acting career but said he would return to wrestling when he felt the time was right.
• After almost a year of inactivity, He returned to professional wrestling when he provided commentary for two WCPW (What Culture Pro Wrestling) events: No Regrets on 29th April 2017 and the Mexican qualifiers for the Pro Wrestling World Cup.
• On 8 November 2018, He made his Lucha Underground debut on the season 4 finale. He appears in an epilogue style segment, in which he appears with a cigar, and referring to his old catchphrase used in WWE.
• A day later, he announced on Twitter that his name would be "The Lord". However, Lucha Underground ultimately closed its doors after season 4, and therefore Bennett never got to wrestle for the company.
