Dr. Amie Harwick was an American sex therapist, marriage and family therapist. She gained limelight after she dated and got engaged to comedian and actor, Drew Carey. However, their engagement never ended in marriage. Harwick was found dead in her Hollywood Hills home in Los Angeles California on 16 February 2020. The initial investigation identified Harwick's ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse as the main suspect for her death. Pursehouse was arrested on the following day. In this ongoing investigation, the authorities have found the evidence of strangulation before Harick's fall. 

Pursehouse has been charged with Harwick's murder. The two previously dated each other for a while. Harwick had filed for restraining orders against Pursehouse twice.
